  8.  @grantbaker371  to be serious: the terminal velocity sensor used for the landing was not the one designed for the mission. Ofc we have no clue what the performance specs are, but it seems possible that the LiDAR with the lens cap still on could have had performance that mitigated tip over concerns. But having worked 6 iirc mars landing radars, I hate LiDAR, and I hate the moon. Nothing personal…it’s just business.
