@jerichothirteen1134 i got that idea because I am from the Soviet Union, my parents were working for a NII for building rocket engines and because my dad was in the Soviet military for two years. You are repeating cold war US propaganda about Soviet science and industry being a "monolithic failure" when some of the biggest leaps in Western science in recent years happened when the Soviet Union fell and many former Soviet scientists emigrated to the West. Russia tried to become a Western colony and tried to adopt Western military trasition but failed. The SMO made them roll back to soviet doctrine and military thought and most Russian weapons are Soviet developed and made. The Russians started winning when they abandoned Western ideals and adopted Soviet ones.

@ligametis 🤦‍♂️😂 who told you they lost half of what thry have? Go see the losses of tanker crews on mediazona. They lost about 800 men. One T72BM tank has a crew of 3. So that means Russia lost around 300 tanks assuming every single tank was destroyed (which it wasnt). And Russia is fighting all of NATO already. All their best equipment is there and even soldiers in the form of mercenaries. Not helping NATO much.

@ligametis perhaps it could, once it defeats Ukraine. Remember Europe itself is complaining its running out of shells and tanks to send Ukraine. Some countries sent all their shells, tanks and planes to Ukraine. If Ukraine is doing so well, why does it always need more? 😂 If Ukraine loses, Europe will be mostly disarmed so theres a high chance Russia could go through it faster.

@jerichothirteen1134 Soviet government and military was far more of a monolith and far more efficient in terms of economic and military production due to direct pipelines between military and civilian production and the ability of civiliand production able to be rapidly converted to military production at a moments motice. Add to that a powerful ideology that could be used to drive the population to sacrifice and victory and a army of almost 2 million men and many "ghost brigades" that could be filled out in moments (meaning that equipment was already prepared for such ghost brigades even though they technically didnt exist). Add to that a powerful scientific apparatus (every militsry factory had a NII scientific institute behind it) and you got a machine for rapid production and innovation. The soviets were a more formidable force than the russians currently

@jerichothirteen1134 that was the case for the Soviet Union. Not sure about Russia. Industrial output and population is vastly different. Perhaps this will change after Ukraine war

@jerichothirteen1134 yes propaganda. Because many people have no idea how the USSR was because of US cold war propaganda. People still think that the US beat Nazi Germany and Japan. Not surprising they think this way about the USSR

Fam go check mediazona - thats really the only organization that tracks Russian losses And we still citing Oryx, after its been exposed for lying and falsifying numbers multiple times? Go check lostarmour instead. Much more accurate numbers and has a combined Russian-Ukrainian team
