@KosherCookery >inefficency >Russian forces >somehow the taking of the village of Robotyno is taking longer than the entire siege of Marioupol

@sniperboom1202 besides those Russian losses make no sense lmao. Thats more than twice the numher of troops Russia had movilized during the entire SMO. Russia started the war with 190k vs Ukraines 250k. Since then they mobilized an additional 300k and only 150k of those 300k were sent to the front, the rest have been held in reserves. Currently Russia has about 315k fighting on the front and another 100-150k in reserve. Even if we take those propaganda numbers you take at face value, they make no sense lel

@sniperboom1202 what western analysis? Mediazona gives Russian KIA at no more than 40k. And its by far the most accurate measure as it doesnt rely on Ukrainian claims (as most Western analysis does) but rather on official death registry/obituaries

@jonathanpfeffer3716 no you dont. This is demonstrated recently by the Alyosha tank taking on 10 Ukrainian tanks on its own - the machinist and driver in the tank were injured so the Lieutant of the platoon took over and a Lieutant from another platoon jumped in and took over firing. In Russia, officers are trained in every weapon system and role

@percussion44 lel wut? The Red Army never exceed 2 million people (by some accounts 4 million).

@sniperboom1202 Russia also has multiple officers per squad and a flear dilenation of who takes command if the officer dies. Remember that Russian army structure is different from the US model and is far more officer than NCO heavy

@sniperboom1202 Reutuers put Ukrainian civilianncasualties at no more than 9k.

Its all thanks to those magical wagner shovels Man we seriously need to get our hands on those shovels

@haydengalloway5177 Javelins/Kornets, Iglas/stingers arent the threat you think they are. What has caused a reversion to WW1 tactics is drones surveilling every inch of the battlefield and now Russia having a newfound obsession with them - going so far as to integrate "drone flying" as a class in elementary school because they want to start graduating 16k drone operators every year starting from this year.

@sniperboom1202 Ukraine recently had a few high profile leaks of documents (that were shown to be genuine) marked as "top secret" that said that Ukrainian dead has surpassed the 100k mark and the casualties are over the 300k mark. This has been corroborated within Ukrainian media by journalists. After this Zelensky banned Ukrainian journalists from going to the front.
