You're saying the right things in general, but... there are several points: 1. the issue of the dollar is not made by the US federal government 2. the dollar, like any other money that is not a coin made of precious metals, is just a debt obligation of the issuer. 3. It follows from the above that the United States does not have its own national currency... Aren't you scared yet? ;0) Then think about the question - how did the United States appear, who were the immigrants, whose descendants make up the population of the country... It's scary, but instead of a "melting pot of nations," the North American United States has become a garbage dump of civilization (nothing personal, just a statement of facts). And the kings of the garbage dump don't care what anyone says - until the garbage begins to be reclaimed.
