Based on western reporting of the conflict Ukraine farmers with shotguns riding in on tractors should have captured moscow two years ago? Meanwhile back in reality Russian troops are advancing in donbass meeting less resistance because Ukraine had to pull 2 divisions from the line to support the invasion of russia, that's only boosted recruitment inside of Russia. As putin spent years creating a narrative for the Russian populace that Ukraine is now proving true in they're eyes.

@thebloodredeye8553 Russia didnt fund an illegal coup in Ukraine. Victoria Nuland did that, Russia didnt initiate a punitive military operation against the civilian populaces of Donetsk and Lugansk, Petro Poroshenko did that, Russia is in it for reasons that benifit Russia, not disputing that, but the war was already going when they got involved.

@moderateextremisttoysoldier At least in Ukraine if the unit your tasked to work with are predominantly made up of football hooligans with far right leanings, Meanwhile a Texan by the name of Russel Bonnor Bently volunteered with Vostok Battalion (a Batallion of Donetsk Peoples Militia mostly comprising Afghan war veterans, former policemen and foreign volunteers), he joined the fight in 2014 to defend donetsk after the coup in Kiev and the massacres of civilians that transpired in Odessa and Mariupol, He fought at the battle of Debaltslavo, was there when the militia took the airport, was there each time the ukranazis tried to recapture it, he was on the frontlines for year as ukraine had repeatedly broken its peace agreements and ceasefires. He's still there serving with the Batallion to this day, even though there is little logistical support, until last year all of the gear his unit had was old soviet small arms with half rotted furniture, and mothballed afghanka uniforms from the 80's.

@DeborahLokken-yz1bg Russia has S-500's that can engage hypersonic missiles, the F35 has only proven itself against 40 year old cold war technology, no one ever expected an S300 to track a 6th gen stealth fighter, that's why the S500 was made to supplement the S400, it can.

@kristybarker924 yeah but that wasnt the beginning, I remember the beginning when unarmed Borotba comrades in Odessa that were protesting an illegal coup were burned alive by ultranationalist in the trade union building while Poroshenko initiated a punitive military campaign against the civilian populace's of Donetsk and Lugansk because they didnt support said coup.

@ZootyZoFo while russian troops are still advancing in the south, Ukraine is getting its army mired in a long battle for Kursk that's cost 6 tanks and 2000+ Ukrainians that really couldnt be afforded given the state of the lines in donbass, history is just repeating itself.

@nhjhbmkuy7173 have you been away for awhile, Russia's casualties are closer to 600,000,and Ukraines are near 1.5 Million casualties, with the mass exodus of draft age men fleeing ukraine to avoid conscription the rates do not favor Ukraine. Not even close smh

They have every right and responsibility to do so under the mutual defence treaty between the two nations that was triggered by the Ukrainian invasion at Kursk, this is an escalation that Ukraine should have thought about before launching an offensive that was already doomed to fail.
