Because the US frose billions of dollars that Russian companies had in US banks that were seized and given to Ukraine, also Russia wouldnt have been forced to intervene in the conflict had Ukraine adhered to Minsk II. Also, while they are happy to discuss peace, that's because they are in a stong position to dictate the peace, they're advancing in the Donbas and have already liberated most of Kursk from Ukrainian occupation, as far as material goals, they have already secured most of the territory they required and Ukeaine doesnt possess the capability to challenge that. Russia doesnt have to negotiate, the can continue advancing while running down the clock on Ukraine's reserves and munitions, so Ukraine can negotiate the terms and find an amicable solution or Russia can keep pushing westward until it accepts ukraines unconditional surrender on the Bug river.

Ukraine can also say goodbye to its aspirations of reclaiming crimea, I doubt the citizens will forget or forgive Ukraine cutting off their access to drinking water in violation of the Geneva accords, the Ukrainian Army would have to be demobalized and western offensive weaponry removed from the region while russian forces withdrawal 5km creating a DMZ thats manned by UN peacekeepers allotted from neutral nations such as Vietnam, India, South Africa etc., pending the removal of Zelensky, the legalization of opposition parties in Ukraine, and new democratic elections that ARENT funded by Victoria Nuland or the US state department. That would be a good start.

Russia captured the cities of Chasiv Yar and Yampolivka along with 6 smaller towns, they're advancing in Kursk in the north and towards Kharkov Pokrovsk further south, in the last year Russia has captured 4000km², a 7 fold increase from 2023, while yeah, that is alot less than what was initially taken by Russia when they first intervened, but the difference is Russia is now effectively holding the territory they take while running down the clock on Ukraine's reserves.

Ukraine has done everything in they're power over the last decade to push the regions into Russian arms. Now all of Lugansk is under Russian control and the last Ukrainian stronghold at Chasiv Yar in Donetsk is being encircled by the Russian army. The US spent 150 years screwing over almost every other nation in this hemisphere, they arent hand outs, they're hand backs, and should continue, with that said, all of the working class should be given the same benefits, and it wouldnt be hard to do, just stop funding Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, and terror groups around the world(never stopped giving money to contras in Nicuragua and paramilitary death squads in Colombia), and withdrawal s its forces from South Korea since that cost $3.3B annually and Korea is only paying the US $925M, and then the US could afford to support the entirety of the working class, and it makes alot more sense then cutting support from part of the working class that absolutely needs it to give said support to another part of the working class that also needs it. Because that's the same problem just with different demographics, doesnt fix the problem.

In two years Russia captured a fifth of the nation, so 8 more years by that math, probably less as Ukraine burns through its reserves though, Kursk didnt really help Ukraine though, they cant replace the 16,000 they lost there, not fast enough to make a difference in Donetsk anyways, Chasiv Yar will fall before the year is out, Pokrovsk will be in Russian hands before Thanksgiving , when they fall all of Donetsk will be under Russian control, theyve already secured the whole of Lugansk.

American democracy is a sham and the majority knows this already. I didnt vote, but I did voice support for trumps campaign, not because I liked him or his policies, but because Kamala mentioned 4 more years of complacency where trump winning meant the potential collapse of of the nations economy followed by the collapse of american society into revolution and civil war, capitalism in decay is fascism, trump brings about the decay much faster, which exposes the populace to what the system always really was behind the veil. So far I'm really not disappointed.

KPA troops are going to russia as advisors to train russian artillery battalions on the use and proper storage of the equipment being sold back to Russia that hasnt been in russian use for 6 decades, and having advisors who are familiar with the weapons is more effective than reading 60yo soviet field manuals, but I do agree with the rest of your comment, this isnt a necessary act of desperation, it's an act of solidarity from Russia's allies.

  145. ​ @Naejje all of Lugansk is in Russian hands, the last Ukrainian positions in Donetsk at Pokrovsk and Chasiv Yar are being encircled by the Russian army, and Ukraine just lost 16,000 of their best combat forces in Kursk only to have half the ground the captured retaken by russia in a month, Ukraine doesnt have the reserves to to recapture Crimea, it is and will be a part of Russia going forward into the foreseeable future, Ukraines potential reserves fled the country by hundreds of thousands of men leaving to escape the draft, leaving ukraine struggling to replace its loses while russia hasnt experienced the same problem and is having its troop numbers augmented by volunteers from both Belarus and the DPRK, Russia has already won, Zelensky just refuses to accept it.
