Ukraine is running out of reserves, Russia has only used 20% of its forces in Ukraine, and are capturing more ground every day, little by little Ukraine is falling, even with all of the US and NATO aid, it doesnt help when there arent enough men left to use it, you cant capture ground with drones and and missiles, that takes men, and Ukraine simply doesnt have enough anymore, when that matter is settled, these people in Tbilisi will either go home or wish they had

  23.  @steveborgmalta  while I dont agree with his response, his logic is every bit as solid as the western excuses for the iraq war and the western reasoning for threatening nuclear war with Russia for defending Cuba in 1962, the west was creating a clear and present threat to russian interest and security on their doorstep, and conflict had already broken out by the time Russia intervened, while I disagree with russias actions, there is alot of historical precedent by western nations that make the actions that russia has taken to be much more understandable, If china financed a coup in mexico city and brought the nation into its sphere of influence at the sake of american interest while financing paramilitary groups to target and eliminate all opposition to the takeover beginning a military campaign in Juarez and Jalisco and Baja, putting american citizens in Direct risk, would you expect the US to sit by solely and watch the bloodshed? No, the US would intervene in Mexico again as it has done repeatedly in the past century to protect its interests.

  30.  @katbrown1449  the first military offensive in the conflict was given by Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk to quell the uprising in Donbas, hundreds of civilians were already being killed by UAF artillery and rocket strikes when the russian forces already stationed in Crimea supported the populace as they held the referendum to leave Ukraine, when russia became directly involved, the fighting was already well underway.

  35.  @MarkM001  Nuetrality worked great for Ukraine before victoria nuland gave five billion dollars to far right extremist groups in order to finance an armed anti-Russian coup, yeah the people wanted new elections, Yanukovich agreed to them even knowing he would lose, but said far right militants used the funds to get armed and organized, began attacking state authorities, then overthrew the government, set up an ilegal interim regime with wester support, immediately started forcing draconian anti-Russian laws on the population and in doing so alienated a third of the populace, when that third protested these actions, they were regarded as terrorist and a punitive campaign of murder and destruction was unleashed by the regime in Kiev in order to subjugate the populace. I dont see a peaceful resolution being possible until the west accepts this context, it has done everything possible to ignore it since the maidan, hundreds of civilians were murdered by a regime the west wants to brand as "free and democratic"

I'm not defending Russia by this comment either, I know it will be viewed as such, they arent in any better of a position on this matter, the central committee of the supreme soviet was a more democratic institution than either the Ukrainian Rada or the Russian Duma.

While Russia agreed not to attack Ukraine in the agreement of the Budapest Memorandum all parties including the US agreed to respect Ukraines sovereignty, this agreement was violated by the US when the State Department funded a coup to overthrow Yanukovich in 2014, 8 years before Russia intervened in the conflict, meaning the agreement was already breached and rendered invalid.
