Since you don't want to use dark mode, would you consider to use a white background on your video recording set so I can invert the color in the video?

I recently learned about the existence of WinterCG, a body for standarization of js runtimes. I hope vercel, cloudfare, deno, bun... and obviously node, get to agree in a standard to improve dx with multiple runtimes.

I like to unpack the crx and tweak/delete things. Also I think we should give bookmarklets a second chance, well, more a like first chance.

I'm rewatching the linux talk on gpl2, since wpengine are making changes, where can I see those changes? . I assume they are gpl2 in some sort of way.

I was wondering the same, apparently I'm spoiled by svelte.

Only Mac. I'll come back next year.

I think is hard to defend your lifework from a legal point when you've chosen a very permissive license. You know you have some moral ground but legally you are exposed for abuse. You want to make your case based on what you feel is right but you have little legal defense, so you twist what little you have to make your case trying to infuse as much lateral arguments that really don't hold on the small legal premise you have. It makes you dishonest.

Maybe WP license is shit. When I think of wordpress I don't think is free. Most hosting is overpriced. You can't do shit without paid plugins. Web developers on the field ask for absurd quotas.

6:22 so wpe has made a stripe plugin for woocommerce? where is it? Is not on their github, you can't find stripe or woocommerce in any of their repos. Is that allowed with gpl?

@Luxalpa Gpl license bleeds into the modification and plugins you make over a project with gpl. Most plugins and themes of wordpress, even the paid ones are gpl and you can use, redistribute and modify freely. I wasn't aware of that, but Matt is in another lawsuit with a plugin/theme aggregator (festingervault) and the lawsuit is about trademark, not about the plugins they "hack"/host.

This hole deal is going to affect GPL and other open source licenses by bad publicity. You can fight a trademark war, but keep open source out of it, that battle was lost the day you choose a specific license. I've learnt today that all plugins and themes are technically free to use and redistribute thanks to him, a lot more people is going to use that route now.

Mmmm, interesting... So all this Festinger thing.... Let me recap now that I've read some about what is happening. Most plugins and themes for wordpress are GPL by default so this guy has make a "vault" to host those plugins. They are now in litigation with wordpress and holding into rearming their server. WPEngine needs to build a service to do exactly that, but also, they could do as festinger and offer paid plugins as free in their platform... It would be a dick move, not just for "core" wordpress" but for thousand of developers of those plugins, addons, themes... If you invested into developing in the wordpress ecosystem you are basically screwed at this moment. This is really eye opening.

But it's against the code of conduct!

Or just go with DiznutsScript

Oh boy, the chief gave me new wind, Festinger FTW!!

This is kind of silly, how many pages are going to need something like this? Meanwhile wordpress is eating us alive.

I might be spoiled by svelte. Is there something new here? React is ugly, tailwind + react is really ugly and stylex is the ugliest.
