  1. A false dichotomy. It should be “Republicans vs. Democrats, Progressives, and communists revolutionaries.” The fact that the latter two have successfully infiltrated the Democrats’ party doesn’t nullify the beliefs of traditional Democrats who, for the most part simply favored more spending for social programs. They had no problem saying they loved their country and respected its founding. Their concern for racial disparity was never an obsession wrought with exaggerated victimhood. Republicans still, as they have for decades, believe in limited decentralized government, low taxation a d regulation, a robust free economy, and strong national defense. After Obama, the left was firmly on the verge of upending our republic and then Trump came along. The left is mad because the voting public doesn’t want an authoritarian punitive socialist “revolution.”
