  1. It seems unsophisticated to compare human diversity to dogs. Allusions to “breeding” are of course at least “frowened upon” but it seems obvious that, over time, ceratain traits would become more or less prounounced — not only physical traits but traits of temperment.

  2. Race is irrelevant. The story isn’t about a well-tanned Caucasian girl but a girl with distinct white skin, one of many skin shades regardless of a racial background. What’s next, a version with an African albino girl.
