Trump has done nothing — zero — to restrict press freedoms. You can debate the merits of his sarcasm and insults (something he does to everyone that attacks him) but thinking the media has not earned scorn from some public personalities and the general public is utter blindness. Wallace acknowledged examples of these flaws to a degree but then just droned on the usual “orange man bad” litany we’ve become accustomed to. Through my entire adulthood I’ve watched establishment media sources skew the news through dishonesty or omission. While proclaiming fake news to be the “enemy of the people” is over the top I can’t say the hacks of partisan spin haven’t earned such insult. Any sane person exposed to such unjust treatment would no doubt respond the way Trump has — or worse.
