Characters like Alex Jones are typically more insightful and on-track than any intellectual. To the contrary, intellectuals are usually wrong and Alex Jones is usually right.

Klonopin (Also called Clanzepam) is way overprescribed. I had some minor muscle tremor after a big earthquake in Japan and a doctor prescribed the stuff to me. I was prescribed the smallest possible dose and when I wanted to stop taking it, it was literally impossible (shakes, sleeplessness, anxiety). Eventually, I was successful by reducing my already small dose by mere minuscule fragments each week. While dong so I would replace the sedative effect with “sleepy tea” and an herbal capsule called “valerian.” The valerian smells terrible but does the same thing as klonopin - naturally — without the addictive qualities. It took me several months to get off the stuff through a very calculated and measured reduction. I can’t believe how much this stuff is prescribed for the most minor nervous ailments. Don’t take it ever. There are plenty of safe natural herbal remedies that can help without the horrid effects of this stuff.

It’s absolutely amazing that there are people passionately defensive of a powerful government bureaucracy. There are never enough boots to lick for some people.

Continually, Rogan and his guests are a rare refreshing excursion into intelligent and honest conversation. Virtually everywhere else - particularly in establishment venues - it’s nothing but lock-step obedience to leftist orthodoxy.

Old school Democrat. Not a Marxist ideologue seeking to overthrow our constitutional republic. If the Democrats lose this election by a significant margin, they would be smart to get back on track with decent people like Tulsi. (For what it’s worth, I’m a conservative Trump supporter).

I can’t wait for the full-on assault on the teacher unions and the Washington / International establishment. Back to self-government and a federal authority with limited and diffused power. Screw the socialist coastal cocktail class.

@claudiodecastro4831 - ‘didn’t know that….but, he’s infinitely more believable than Google, Wikipedia, or the federal government.

Excellent question. Ya know it’s happened and the propaganda media outlets along with governments are keeping it under wraps.

Bread - About an hour before bed, I took two 500 MG capsules of Valerian along with two bags of Celestial Seasons “Sleepy Tea.” I forgot to note that I also listened to an app that played Binaural Delta waves. I don’t know if that was helpful but the combined effect of everything allowed me to slowly whittle my Klonopin dose down to nothing. I’d add that some simple breath g exercises are helpful as well. If someone is trying to free themselves from Klonopin, I can’t stress enough that you literally have to reduce the dosage by an incredibly tiny amount each week and expect to stretch the program out over a few months. I’m not one to tout the marvels of health fads but from a practical standpoint stuff like this seems to be effctive

Political correctness in pop entertainment is utterly boring.
2
It’s hard to really know if Alex Jones is a genius or completely insane.
2
@RonPaulOrDie - Ya got me there — actually that was just a rhetorical flourish noting Alex’s passionate style. I’m actually on board.

China has never had “capitalism.” A FREE market can only exist in a FREE society. China has “socialism with [19th century German] characteristics.”
2
@bufo7120 - I used to marvel at the synchronicities that occured in my life. Now I just accept them as completely normal and not even particularly magic. It’s just another manifestation in nature.
2
Politically correct decorum can be nice but I really appreciate it when people point out the obvious. Brutal honesty beats patronizing obedience to the whims of social-planning control freaks.
2
Robert R - America is certainly headed that way. Both countries are clearly corporatist. As long as a good amount of American citizens remain armed America won’t be quite on par with China. When America has a “Great Leap Forward” I’ll see the equivalency. Thus far the communist “cultural revolution” in America is still confined to education, entertainment, and social media....(UhOh, maybe we’ve arrived).
1
Agreed. She represents the days when both parties, in spite of differences, loved their country, supported its economic system, and respected our founding documents.

A shame that so many who vote themselves into socialist dystopias eventually flee and restart the process again somewhere else. Get a clue, from history and commonsense; maximum freedom, minimum decentralized government authority, open free expression, and a consistent respect for the rule of law and constitutional government.

A lot of people are using this discussion as a cliche' excuse to critique America as a caricature of “selfishness and greed” and paint collectivist sentiment as noble, good, and “happy.” Nations and cultures exhibit a variety of traits not unlike individual personalities. A common myth is that “American culture promotes competition and selfishness” when in fact, the schools, universities, media, and entertainment have been pervasively pushing the “group-hug” ideal for decades. There are over 330 million citizens in America. Some are cruel and selfish, some are kind and altruistic. Should America really be negatively compared to the collectivist ideals that brought us communism, Nazism, and fascism? Glass houses everwhere.

In all such debates the PC side is usually ....stupid.
1
While tax money funds fire and police departments, it can hardly be called an expression of “socialism.” Socialism is a specific ideology that inevitable increases the authority of the stae over time, eventually becoming punitive and coercive.

People should watch reruns of “Dirty Harry.” ....and see if Antifa “feels lucky.”
1
It’s like he’s in a speaking race with Donald Trump Jr.

@avery5924 - ‘Can’t disagree with that but I’d note that many academic intellectuals don’t like Peterson. If you don’t tow the party line they exile you from the intellectual “community.”
1
@avery5924 - What distinguishes Peterson from many — if not most — intellectuals is that he is self-aware and knows the dangers that many intellectuals in history have visited upon the public. History is riddled with resentful scribes on a mission to make a new world. They see themselves as the rightful rulers over a cast of commoners, if not directly, then by influencing others. Yuval Harari is an example today of these arrogant conmen. Thomas Sowell, Paul Johnson, and Eric Hoffer have written with considerable insight regarding these clowns.

The whole thing is sooooo Weimar.
1
America is currently confronting the same ideology domestically and internationally. The communist party of China and the communist /fascists of Antifa.

R KA — Sorry, ‘was too lazy to look it up. I figured I may have got it wrong.

John Thompson - Only 0.5 Mg in the evening.
1
Kate C. - I totally understand the satisfaction with the drug’s effectiveness. It’s incredibly relaxing and renders the most stressful day irrelevant but...I started reading some of the horror stories about it, including the fact that no one really knows what it’s doing to your brain long term. There are a million and one ways offered now that provide some relief from anxiety and stress. I certainly prefer the non-addictive ones.
1
Kate C. Sainte Jeanne d'Arc - I hate to promote New-Age hypochondria but, again, there are lots of methods thar offer some degree of effectiveness, including breathing exercises, binaural brain wave apps, herbal teas and remedies. I’ve also found that (even though most screen activity is bad for sleep) watching videos of natural environments, snowstorms, wind in trees, etc. knocks me out completely. Along with it all, the most critical thing is to just “not care” about anything. There isn’t a remedy in the world that will overcome obsessive thinking about the days events or stressful circumstances. The period before sleep is the time to not care about anything.
1
John Thompson - Well stated. I was using Klonopin for the better part of ten years (!). There were no serious side effects (that was aware of). There’s probably no perfect solution for everyone but a person has to ultimately decide what they’re comfortable with. For me, I just didn’t like the idea of being literally addicted to a synthetic substance that no one really fully understood. I’m glad I’m off the stuff completely.
1
Yeah, the Pompeo thing is troubling. His staff and family needs to play non-stop video footage of Pompeo showing no sympathy for Trump regarding the lawfare on classified documents.” The back-stabbers gotta go.
1
It sounds like they’re watching a football game.
1
Good luck getting Democrats on board with that.

Very succinct analysis.
