  3. Ethnically Britons, not British, british is a possessor, ownership. Yes even our media gets it wrong, it still irks me. India was british property, but that didn't make them britons. You can call british subjects british, but britons is the correct term for the people of britain.

  4. Also, I'm a Briton, don't approve of being called british which is any subject of the crown. Ethnically a Celt though, not so much anglo saxon, despite residing in england for generations.
