  3. My dad is highly functional and autistic and my 3 year old is more mature than he is in many ways. It's certainly 'childlike' though he certainly isn't a child. So you're being uncharitable there. However i'm skeptical of all non profits. They rarely come close to helping people, any of them.

  12. Diagnosed* we just didn't clinically analyse personalities years ago. I do think schooling has reduced the social ability of some children below the threshold, however.

  13. I also feel like for many doctors or teachers boys can only be one of those two. I have autistic friends because my dad is one so I've grown enough patience and comfort in having friends oblivious to the social battles those of us skilled in conversation? Manipulation? Have with one another. Whatever the opposite of autism is, my mother and I have.
