  1. The one that bugs me is paper straws for plastic drinks cartons- if there was ever a product plastic was great for- it was straws! I'd take wood straws at this point. So far from fit for purpose, they dissolve when wet immediately! They don't even wax them or anything. I view that stuff and these as eco virtue. Political nonsense. True ecology is a lifetime question. Products that LAST not biodegrade. Small land wind turbines- terrible ecologically due to maintenance lifetime and network issues- you might as well use gas power stations due to some of the unreliable chinese produced wind turbines that lasted less than a tenth that which was promised. But they send the right message right? Killing off bird species. If anyone actually supports the environment, they'd support nuclear power instead, and maybe power cars by pantographs or something.
