AdderTude Completely valid point, RPM's production wrapped up in 2009 and that Samurai team up was aired in 2011 with absolutely no one who worked on RPM and it ignored or misrepresented a lot of that show's themes, plot points and completely goes against Scott's character. That's like Judging The Legend of Zelda series based on the CD-i Games.

Samurai and Super Samurai were not good seasons for various reasons: - The almost pre-school level dialogue (its especially jarring if you're coming from RPM) - The overuse of puns with the battle banter. - Power Ups that literally serve no purpose aside from cool looking Zord cockpit suits for kids to buy more toys. - Trying to rush a localized version of a Sentai series that had a heavy reliance on Japanese historical knowledge and mythology, leading to story elements that made no sense. - The RPM teamup not having a single RPM cast member present. - Relying too heavily on nostalgia to try and appeal to long term fans. - The whole story arch of not allowing Antonio to join the Rangers, despite being the only one that willingly wants to take up the role, the rest were forced into being rangers against their will.

  12. AdderTude It's a season that dares to break the traditional conventions of the franchise and do something completely different. So yes. I like shows that like to jump outside their comfort zone along with some high quality writing and acting.

  20. Those 2 seasons are both widely considered to be really REALLY good. Hell many fans consider RPM to be one of the best if not THE BEST season ever. And they're not the most brand new seasons either, that would be Dino Charge. What does their age have to do with anything?

  22. I grew up watching Mighty Morphin thank you very much. RPM is the best season because its one bold enough to tackle issues and push the story beyond the series traditions. For example the backstory episode of Dr. K is easily one of the best episodes ever in the franchise, with great acting/dialogue, deep emotional moments and a plot twist that really hits hard. Another example would be Belly of the Beast, which has something no other episode has done: a morale dilemma. Not only that but its a breath of fresh air to see the rangers go on the offensive for the change.

  27. Go-Onger was ridiculous, even for Sentai. It was a show trying to promote environmentalism ... with cars as the heroes. Cars ... you know, because there's so many of them, they're the biggest contributors to greenhouse gasses.
