  2. Yu Yevon is the final boss because he's the last guy you fight FULL STOP. You can argue Braska's Final Aeon all you want and yes he was tough but that still doesn't change the fact that the fight with your aeons and then Yu Yevon happens after Jecht. If Yu Yevon wasn't the final boss they shouldn't have had Yu Yevon starting from when you beat Yunalesca and she mentions him.
