@Nobodysurvivesevenonebit RDR2 is pathetically easy compared to BOTW. Those who disagree clearly never played BOTW. Or act like they have and just get all their information off YouTube videos.

@webhead4414 You sound like someone that clearly has not played BOTW and don't realise how archaic it makes Red Dead's open world game design feel in comparison.

Gaming With Ryan When he said Zelda was better? HAHAHAHA. Clearly you haven't played BOTW, RDR2 was so mindbogglingly easy where as BOTW requires the player to think.

@madnessarcade7447 In this case it clearly isn't. Especially with the amount of handholding RDR2 has.

@Nobodysurvivesevenonebit In cinema, Horrible in Gameplay and controls

Gaming With Ryan If by thinking you mean: "Stand behind cover and pop out and shoot every 5 seconds" you've clearly never played a challenging game before. Plus how can the game allow for extra thinking when it literally tells you what to do every step of the way? Sounds like something a scrub would say. Even the final choice between saving John and going for the money is a braindead easy choice since Arthur is late stage terminally ill and won't get to enjoy the fruits of money.

@jacobeaton3446 But the problem with trains and coaches is that you have no direction about which way you want to go. If you're talking about fast travelling, Breath of the Wild's system runs rings around Red Dead since it offers far more destinations and can be used at anytime.

@ItsJustCartier I'm saying BOTW actually feels like a Video Game. One that actually challenges me, It doesn't have to be Dark Souls levels of hard. But any sort of challenge needs to be present. @Mr Nemesis What does that have to do with the gameplay?

@t.o.p.4175 Tap X repeatedly to run and get flung from your horse constantly because he doesn't know how to jump over a rock or weave through a forest.

@JetAlucard362 Contra? Heh I've beaten Contra, Contra III, Hard Crops and Contra IV. The latter I even 100% completed.

@jacobmichalski196 Not hard as in; "Impossible hard" but challenging enough. Barely got any sort of challenge in RDR2 in comparison. Now Master Mode on the other hand ....

@sagittarius4765 Has nothing to do with the things in the world, but with it's overall game design. Breath of the Wild encourages you to explore in whatever direction you feel like and no way ever fells like the wrong way. Where as Red Dead Redemption 2 game design feels outdated even by The Witcher 3 standards by using an archaic mission system that tells players specifically what to do every step of the way. Best way to point this out is how both game's set up their tutorial; by that comparison BOTW wins by a longshot.

People say RDR2 is for Adults and BOTW is for kids Yet RDR2 treats the players like kids and BOTW like gamers regardless of age. The amount of handholding in Red Dead Redemption 2 is absolutely absurd. Not to mention how easy it is to breeze through the entire game.

@yannisp101 Really? REALLY? If thought the game is hard ... I think you need to play a LOT more video games.
1
@yannisp101 Oh my god really? You thought the tutorial section was hard? OH MY GOD! It more sounds like you've never played any other game before.
