  3. iTANKuUP Apples and Oranges, Dark Souls and Bloodborne are both made by From Software and uses the exact same gameplay mechanics and game engine. Undertale and Earthbound literally have zero design similarities.

  5. louisgworld Dude you are literally talking out of your ass. The creators of those game you mention have already stated themselves that those franchises aren't related. Copyright law is in place to prevent other artists from stealing an artists work or trying to rewrite the story without the permission, however Miyazaki is the copyright creator for all of those games, therefore the decision of what is or isn't part of the same series is FromSoftware's call. Copyright law doesn't dictate that. If your argument held weight then Platinum Games Madworld and AnarchyReigns wouldn't be allow to be part of the same series.
