Actually the worst types for fans are fans for games that haven't even been released yet. They'll been ejaculating with hype in the comments, but the minute you say something negative you're apparently worse than Hitler. Doesn't matter the game, doesn't matter the system, doesn't matter the time length. Anticipation is the biggest mistake for video games.

Getting upset over a 7/10 is bad. But getting upset over a 9/10 being "low" is inexcusable

I love the Zelda series but I have to agree with the sentiment of this list that its fanbase is by far the worst thing about the series.

Challenge accepted. I'm going to criticise every single one of these games and I recommend everyone who see's this does the same: 10. Kojima is a pretentious writer who has no idea about how subtlety of information filtering works 9. Weeboo trash with outdated turn based combat 8. The world is very bland and the ending is horse shit. Plus it doesn't hold up as well as many people think 7. No one cares about your stupid plot theories, Plus the gameplay is very shallow 6. The first few hours are BOORRRIINNNGG 5. Combat is lame and the main character is dull and generic 4. Same deal as Entry 10. The series reeks of pretentiousness, and it's made even more ridiculous by the fact that it's trying to tell a thought provoking story while you're travelling with Donald Duck and Goofy 3. Worst control scheme ever. 2. The gameplay isn't that special, and the story was annoying sequel baiting. 1. Majora's Mask is the worst game in the series. Ocarina of Time doesn't hold up. And Breath of the Wild needed better dungeons.

Go watch Zero Punctuation's video on God of War that just came out of it like 3 hours ago over on The Escapist. You'll find yourself among friends there.

I wouldn't really call God of War "Open World" since they're still pretty much a string of linear paths. As for Red Dead I gotta say I was very disappointed in the trailer ... mostly because the style looked so generic and nothing really stood out aside from some pretty cutscenes.

So do it.
