  2. I would actually argue that Celeste did the blend of excellent story and gameplay better than God Of War. Mostly because it's story and gameplay themes are so synonymous with each other. I mean Celeste's story is about overcoming adversity when it seems like everything is against you, as the character said "Like drowning and fighting as best you can to get back on your feet", and there are times during gameplay especially in the harder B-Side stages where it certainly does feel like the game is impossibly hard. Yet completing it's B-side stages feels like an incredible accomplishment.
