I really REALLY hope the film doesn't boil down to "Does the hero join the Dark Side?" because that is literally both Episodes III & VI biggest question, (Though to be fair we already knew Episode III's outcome). If anything this highlight's that Star Wars's lore was never really designed to last as long term as it has when the Hero is a Jedi, in a struggle between the Light and the Dark side. Because the problem with this "Will Rey Join The Dark Side?" speculation is that there's really only two option, either she does or she doesn't. And the main films have already shown what happens with BOTH those outcomes. So really what other option is there?
