I really wanted to like Interstellar, but its ending was so absurd that it completely ruined the suspension of disbelief. What was Nolan thinking?

Michael Otis The film was aiming to be as scientifically accurate as possible, and also would prove a lot of its sci-fi theory into practice. Yet in the ending, not only does the main character survive falling into a black hole, it not only sends him back to his home planet on in a completely different galaxy IT SENDS HIM INTO HIS OWN HOUSE. ... FROM ANOTHER GALAXY. Furthermore the only hint about where that dimension came from is from a line that comes completely out of left field where he says "It was made by humans in the future" But he had absolutely no evidence or hints to support that claim and yet the audience was supposed to just "believe it" because of "love". Which is COMPLETELY STUPID!!!

What the hell is supposed to make Napoleon Dynamite funny? The fact that he's Socially Awkward or possible is Aspergers? That's not funny.

It could have been but the ending flat out ruined the film.

Michael Otis It has nothing to do with Christopher Nolan, the problem with the film was the absurd ending that completely breaks all the rules the film had set out prior.

Not only that, but the whole "People from the future" did it, is a total paradox. If it came from a timeline where Earth's Crops are all wiped out, there's no way they could have funded and prepped a voyage to another galaxy to build such a "science-magic" dimension without food. If it came from the timeline where Earth was saved, there would have been no reason to go back in time to begin with as there's no way they could have known Cooper's story since he was the only one that "figured out that paradox"

ND is one of the most boring films I've ever watched.
