  1. USA does not have the manpower or enough technical expertise anymore for skilled pilots, mechanics, technicians, logistics personnel etc. The USA has already started to focus more on drones and small teams of electromechanical technicians and operators for such drones.

  2. USSR never had the industrial capacity, economy of scale or logistics to sustain such a massive military war against the Western Allies. Famous Soviet tanks like the T34 were built with American sheet steel, and Soviet aircraft were produced with American aluminum. The moment Hitler invaded the USSR, supply/logistics problems immediately occurred for the Red Army.

  3.  @whitewolfcrowley6550  We still train infantry squads, armored units and support personnel because of small scale skirmishes that occur here and there. In an all out military war, I can see the US military deploying hundreds of thousands of drones all at once to bomb or strafe enemy logistics while the soldiers on the ground fight defensively against enemy units. Many don't realize how fast things have changed. It is no longer about man vs man, but rather, technics vs man.

And we all know how young people are less patriotic, less intelligent, less physically strong, and less capable than their forefathers.

  10. Well of course tank crew training is only going to take a few days time… All these Russian and European armoured vehicles are all based on American Industrial engineering. Russians are using medium tanks with American Christie caterpillar (suspension) tracks and Russian jet aircraft are based on stolen U.S. military aviation tech. This war only profits the bankers, politicians and weapons manufacturers.

  15.  @RahimmacDonald  The US military is in decline thanks to fewer young Americans willing to support and participate in the military. Why join the military anymore? To defend what? American sovereignty? We can't even defend our border and we go about fighting mercenary wars.
