I think that’s the reason why so many people aren’t buying used cars anymore. There are no guarantees and the lack of social trust makes everything even worse. BUT, thank you very much for the checklist!!! One of my family friends tried to buy a used car with only 12k miles on it (2023 Subaru crosstrek) and only did so because the used car dealer had warranty on that used car for up to 2 years (100k miles).

Thank you for making this video! Very inspiring! I’m 23 years old, struggling with the economic mess out there, but this is very encouraging! God bless you my good sir!

That was an amazing video! Loved the ending speech too! “Don’t chase money, chase what you love” is a superb motto.

@Heywoodthepeckerwood That’s the excuse I hear from many folks nowadays. For younger folks with little credit history, we need a co-signer for a new car or we’re stuck looking for a modest used car at an affordable price.

Wow! That is an amazing look into engine damage from lack of oil changes! Thank you so much for sharing this kind of video!!

I can relate to your story too. The dealership wanted to charge me $100 for an engine air filter change. I simply refused and did the work myself for only $30.

Fantastic as always! Thank you so much for this awesome video! You guys are the best! I'm really amazed how despite living in a car centric nation; almost nobody is taught anything about proper maintenance of their car! Your guest speaker also hit some really interesting talking points that I never even knew. Such as: Porsche designing their cars for high speed travels (not local cruising), engine oil changes recommended by manufacturers are not for longevity, oil clocks vs smart algorithms measuring engine oil (GM), and how our petroleum fuels/detergents for engines have changed over time. Really goes to show how "brand loyalty" is not the best option these days. You really have to do your own "homework"!

Wow, that is very fascinating info right there! Thanks again! Seems to me that not only is everything not “built to last” anymore, but the overall technical-creative skill sets in this country has been in constant decline!

Thank you very much for this video! I can feel that truck owner financial pain and frustrations, but at the end of the day, you really showed how important personal cleaning and maintenance of a car really is.

@sutherlacd27 Can you provide a link (or a book or a technical article) instead of a comment claiming this and that?
