  1. From watching all these videos, it seems to me that nobody knows how to prioritize “maintenance” over “new construction”. We’ve developed this bad habit of disposability for everything. And many men and women also don’t know how to “fix something” that is broken. We live in such a throw away culture, where everything is sent to the landfill instead of being repaired, recycled and given a second life.

  3.  @Tricklarock  America has always been a "consumer society" to a certain degree. Just that before the 1970s, you were encouraged to repair something that is broken, instead of just throwing it away.
