  1. After WW2, it was this "everyone to state college movement". Many forgot about the excellent career fields that can be acquired from vocational training or community college! I recently talked to an older guy who started off his career in the 1980s as an electrician. After 1 year vocational training, he was making $50/Hr working as an Apprentice Electrician! When he got his journeyman license, that pay went up to $70/Hr! He was telling me that back in the 1980s, Canada/USA already had a shortage of skilled trades people! Yet nobody paid any attention to that! Sometimes, you gotta develop the "unconventional thinking", because following "social standards" is not going to do you any good if you're from the middle class or working class.
