The car lobby is not the one responsible for America car dependency. You can thank the feds and traffic engineers for keeping this disaster going for so long.

@ Haha, funny of you to make that comment. Car dependent suburbia came onto the urban planning drawing board when Franklin Roosevelt became president of America. Despite being a lover of Stalin and communism, he insisted that car dependent suburbs should be imposed on all of America.

@ It’s going to take several decades to re-build all the city mass transit that we’ve demolished. So for now, most folks are stuck to using cars.
