  1. I used to believe in “labor shortages” but now I don’t. If there were a labor shortage, we’d see higher wages, higher benefits, and improved vocational training. Instead, we see the opposite happen. Capital doesn’t want to pay decent wages, so they claim “labor shortage” to gas light the existing pool of labor.
