  1. Most customers are looking for cars that are below $30k and of decent quality. Not cars that are advertised as “luxury” and going for $90k. That’s why Toyota sedans are selling and certain GM models (Buick Encore) are also doing well.

  3.  @TorianTammas  One of my buddies owns small carpentry business and they do renovation and remodelling of homes/stores. He told me he was willing to pay $50k for a high quality commercial pickup truck to haul big sheets of plywood around for his business. What he got offered by the dealership instead were “luxury pickup trucks” with tony trunk beds for $100k!! He refused to pay $100k for a new pickup truck and instead, had his old 2001 Chevy Silverado overhauled at a mom and pop garage for $23k.
