  1. Instead of landfills, we need more recycling facilities for glass, metal and organic waste. As for plastics, all that needs to be burned in an industrial incinerator instead of getting dumped in a landfill.

  3. Most of these poverty issues would be solved if American towns and cities revised their zoning code. Too many American urban areas are only zoned for car dependent suburbia. Life becomes really difficult when you have to pay for car associated expenses and you live far away from the nearest grocery store, clothing retailer, medical clinic etc. Downtown and inner city areas (former streetcar suburbs) have been taken over by the wealthy again; while the struggling poor are pushed into suburbs that are falling apart.

  4. I like how all these obese people worked office jobs for their career. Just goes to show that white collar jobs aren’t always so glitz and glamor, especially when your own health is at stake.
