I think Biden is sending more weapons to inflict more pain on Russia to build leverage at the negotiating table against a defeated Russia -- your original thoughts. Biden has shown too much irrational, dementia-loaded hatred against Russia for him to back down to a more dovish stance now. Are more realistic advisers in the WH and Pentagon telling a stubbon, delusional Biden to end this war now, as Ukraine has already lost and opposition is mounting against the war so close to the midterms? Are the additional weapons a compromise with a dense Biden? In other words, he actually thinks the additional weaponry will give Zelensky a miraculous win and leverage at the negotiating table! Are Biden's WH and Pentagon more dovish advisors deliberately not telling him it's just one piece of weaponry that won't be effective in the war or maybe ever arrive in Ukraine? A compromise to make Biden end his war, because they see their jobs and power disappearing, starting with the midterms.
