The US/West refused Putin's relentless calls for diplomacy before the SMO. The US/West, courtesy of Boris Johnson, halted peace negotiations. I detect massive Democrat panic as the 2024 election draws closer. People do not want this US war. Out with "to the last Ukrainian." In with a freeze that looks like peace during the election campaigns.

  4. Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity? Firstly, it has no sovereignty. The US is ruling Ukraine through Zelensky. Territorial integrity? Peace and independence for Donetsk and Luhansk WITHIN Ukraine was negotiated under the Minsk Agreement. Ukraine/US/West refused to honor that agreement. Ukrainian genocide against Donbass Russians continued, so Donetsk and Luhansk broke away and declared independence OUTSIDE Ukraine. Putin's very reasonable demands before the SMO included independence for Donetsk and Luhansk WITHIN Ukraine, as per the Minsk Agreement; however, as the genocide against them continued, Russia recognized Donetsk and Luhansk as independent OUTSIDE Ukraine. They asked Russia to help them end the genocide against them. Russia activated its SMO. Meanwhile, Official Ukrainian discrimination/apartheid against Russian-Ukrainians, Ukrainian forces targeting civilian areas and civilians, themselves, and the genocide against Donbass Russians resulted in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaparazia and Kherson regions; soon Odessa Region) voting overwhelmingly to be part of Russia. Vile, inhumane, Ukrainian policies caused these Russian-speaking areas to want to be part of Russia. Self-determination, a UN-recognized human right. They will never peacefully return to Ukraine. Forcing them to be part of Ukraine will be equivalent to a Second Iron Curtain.
