Banning all sanctions would be the moral and ethical route; however as long as they are an accepted form of "strength", lifting sanctions on Iran without complete restrictions of movement of money from Iran to Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and likely Syria, as well as movement of money from Columbia and other drug countries to Iran would be madness. Meanwhile, Trump is on track to impose more sanctions on Russia, the winner of the US's offensive, hegemonic war, while lifting them for terrorists in Syria and terrorist financiers in Iran. We live in a mad, mad world.
