  2. Elephant in the room re election: It has been reported that it will take a year or more to arrange an election. That is far too long to be a prerequisite to stop the war and slaughter. You are right, some sort of Istanbul MOU - likely with a temporary Ukrainian head - will have to be signed immediately to stop the slaughter before any election.

Ukrainian genocide, ethnic cleansing, nazism and militarization against Russian-Ukrainians and the US/NATO/West support of those Ukrainian horrors have rightly resulted in the loss to Ukraine of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaharozhia. Putin will never turn his back on those harassed Russian-Ukrainians and their overwhelming votes to join Russia. Self-determination, actually a UN human right.
