  1. Sadly, Britain today is being categorized as equivalent to an emerging nation. Its GDP for 2020 (latest figures, I believe) declined 11% the worst since 1709! A woman who has great culpability for the rise of energy costs, resulting economic chaos, and help for Ukraine, not for Britain, is now PM. The Queen maintained dignity and grace throughout the decline, starting with Tony Blair. Privately, the state of her country must have been heartbreaking for her. She promised to serve no matter how long or short her life, and she did. Right up to the last day. An unmeasurable loss for Britain and the world.

  9. Astonishing the number of people in the comments siding with the doctor. That is a clear symptom of the deterioration of society. Doctors should know better. No matter how difficult the patient, it is NEVER appropriate for a doctor to behave that way.
