  1. Crimea has been Russian since 1784. It was not Ukrainian before that. Ukraine did not exist. Ukraine did not win it at war. As recently as 1954, Khrushchev stole Crimea for Ukraine SSR, without Crimean approval and without consideration of its Russian demographic. He did it, for strictly personal reasons, to gain favor with Ukraine SSR elites. In 2014 Crimea voted overwhelmingly to be repatriated to Russia (97% vote with an 83% turnout).

  2. Why should Russia pull back? The people in its captured territories have voted overwhelmingly to join Russia. Why? They were victims of Ukrainian genocide and ethnic discrimination/cleansing - stripped of their human rights. Those territories will never be returned to Ukraine. Please, please get this appalling, bigoted, hate-mongering woman off the public air waves. She no longer has authority to speak about this war. She and the West are supporting and encouraging genocide, nazism, ethnic cleansing and discrimination, and US/NATO/West offensive, hegemonic aggression against Russia, pretending it is to protect Ukraine, because the real reason - a manufactured attack Russia to tear it apart, plunder its resources and colonize Eurasia, would not sit well with most people, including Democrats and liberals.

Peace and independent status for Donetsk and Luhansk w/in Ukraine was negotiated with the Minsk Agreement, but corrupt Ukraine officials, with US backing, ignored the agreement. The shelling continued. Putin and Lavrov again continuously called for negotiations. Again the US, Ukraine and the West refused. It all played out, live, before our eyes, on the internet.

  8. Aaron, in my view, appears not to be objective. He asked if Russia had done enough to stop the Ukrainian genocide against the Donbass Russians, without a military operation. Russia had been relentless in its efforts to end the Ukrainian genocide through diplomacy. The US/Ukraine refused. He should have been familiar with those details before the interview.
