  1. What is astonishing and unbelievable about this tragic story is that she went for a buttock reconstruction, not to make it smaller, but to make it larger. A surgery only someone with serious body dysmorphia would want and only an unethical surgeon would perform. Usually I am on the side of individual motivation, but I believe a sick notion that large bums are beautiful spread on social media must have played a large part in this awful outcome.

  2. How on earth do "normal" people decide to use these drugs in the first place, let alone inject them? These people were either thoroughly used to drugs are utterly stupid. Play with fire and you will get burned. In society we have to start asking the real questions, not the victim questions, but the real hard questions about how people who once considered such drug taking a no-go zone confided to the skids to the attitude today, "Oh, well, let's have some fun."

  4.  @janettemitchell1176  How old are you? Pretty young. There was a time when there were very, very few drug addicts. They were down and out men. There were severe consequences for taking or pushing drugs. At that time taking drugs was not considered a "disease," but a choice; and there were strict no-loitering laws, so the street encampments and filth that we now see on the streets did not exist. Young people did not become addicted. One of the worst woke, far-left policies today has been to legalize pot, the gateway drug.

  5. That right there is part of the problem. Not criminalizing addiction to force them into facilities to get clean. Also drug addiction is not a disease. It is a personal choice that turns into an addiction.
