  1. This TikTok guy answers that the Beijing affiliate is not involved with TikTok activities in the US. The key here is that the wording of the privacy policy allows TikTok (US) to share privacy information with that affiliate in the future. The wording does not preclude future sharing.

  2. Tik Tok is a very interesting platform. A great winding down time waster. Some great stuff on there. Some awful stuff on there. Definitely some Chinese propaganda: impressive engineering structures such as roads and bridges. Some amazing dancing shorts on Tik Tok. Interesting science and space stuff. Some amazing conservative Western political snippets. Lots of dumb puerile stuff. Interesting manufacturing processes. Some dangerous stunts not suitable for kids in my view.
