I watched the original video of the Florida news anchor. She was certainly arrogant and rude - played a role in her outcome, but she definitely was not drunk and passed the sobriety test. She should have been let go with a ticket.

Not absolving Kaitlin, but this cop/detective was out of line continuing the conversation after she asked for an attorney. Never talk to the cops without an attorney.

@dakidddant As soon as someone says they want or need an attorney or want to leave, the cops must stop questioning them. If they have been charged, of course, they cannot leave. I've watched many of these investigations, and frankly, the methods used by the cops are sometime abhorrent. I am not protecting the really awful suspects they question; however, if the cops don't learn to be tough but professional, without lies, threats and coercion, they will eventually lose the right to question anyone without an attorney for the suspect or witness present. Criminal attorney advise people - suspects or witnesses - to never speak to the police without an attorney.
