  1. He s one of the defense attorneys. Not sure what his role is in the court. Likely keeping track of stuff. My take is different. I get the feeling that he is a actually shocked by their client.

  2.  @Truth17John17  I've been wasting quite a bit of time watching various court cases - doesn't contribute to the improvement of my life in any way. Just interesting. This one has been quite absorbing to say the least - a café of lost life-in-betweeners - ready for the pages of a novel. Astonishing how her appearance changed from, at times, a very attractive young woman, such as the day Jason entered the courtroom, when one could understand how an older, apparently sensible military man could lose his senses to become entangled with her, to an unattractive, butchy man-woman on her way to a life in prison.
