  2. The whole approach is ridiculous. The Taliban are not going to bow down to any country; however, it appears they are keen on having China as a partner, not least for trade possibilities. The US, because of its lemming misguided conventional wisdom of having to leave Afghanistan (how, a different topic) and trusting the Taliban to do what is right, has dangerously sidelined itself, missed opportunities to create trade relations with Afghanistan, let alone to build a country, as it built countries in Europe after WW2, and thrown away a civilian and military foothold to enable quick responses in a difficult part of the world. Shame on the Biden Regime. Shame on all those who support this totalitarian regime.
