  1. Its natural to claim a trans identity when it receives positive reactions. "Coming out" is applauded as courageous. We view unique attributes as a good thing.

  2. @Zhwazi  I suppose the response varies. I just know that where I work, all of the social circles I'm in, and every place I go, coming out as trans is celebrated. Subjective? Yes. Anecdotal? Yes. Nevertheless, my reality is that trans identity is viewed very positively.
