@MyName-nx1jj I have voted in every election in the last 40 years. I even write to my representatives if it's something important. And contrary to comments above there are a lot of us that despise the far left AND the far right. Democracy is imperfect but its a hell of a lot better than those sad Russians that have no voice at all.

@c0ya1 there will always be crazies, it's just especially bad right now on the left and on the right. If we give up then we are no different from "apolitical" Russians. It's time to get directly involved in who is getting elected. Freedom and democracy takes work. "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty"

It serves no one to criticize Russians for being apolitical. They have no voice so they being apolitical is the only coping mechanism they have. Better to support those Russians that want change and help them make it happen. I don't know how yet but there must be a way. Life without freedom or democracy is just sad.

Please stop being so critical about the Russians. It doesn't help the situation. Remember it is Putin that created the world they live in and change will not come easy for them.

@AusValue except the masses that spend their time watching cat videos and waiting for the next celebrity scandal. Being apolitical in the free world is just as bad as being apolitical in a police state under tyranny.

@victorhopper6774 "everyone lies" is a strategy to keep you from critical thinking and seeking the truth. It makes it easier for people to give up and let those in power continue to rule over them. It takes work to be an informed voter but it's the only way to maintain a working democracy and a free society.

@shades2.183 too simplistic. There is no chance of change if we just condemn all Russians. We know that there are a lot more Russians that oppose Putin's tyranny than the media would have you believe. There has to be a solution that allows them to take back their power and we need to encourage them to do so.
