@evdok8900 so what political structure would you prefer if not freedom and democracy? And about the feelings people have about Russia - it's mostly because Putin keeps attacking it's neighbors. How exactly are we supposed to feel about that?

The silovoki will just replace him with another one of their own. Nothing will change.

Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. Democracy and freedom require a lot of participation from citizens. Being apolitical is what brings it down.

Putin has learned from China that indoctrination must start at an early age and be reinforced continuously throughout life. If done correctly there will be no dissent and no opposition. All independent thought and innovation must be immediately shut down. All minority groups must be assimilated, by force if necessary, especially in recently conquered territory.

@61hink agreed! If Russia became a free and truly democratic nation they would be welcomed into the free world. Their economy would grow quickly, the standard of living would improve. There would be fewer wars. The list goes on and on. The whole world would benefit too. They just need to really want it and be willing to fight for it.

I would like to know what the Russians think about the silovoki. Because these people are Putin's base and when Putin is gone there will be someone from the base to replace him and nothing will change.

The silovoki rule. When Putin goes he will be replaced by one of them and nothing will change

Broaden the question to include all the silovoki

@pacmanc8103 I agree Putin hasn't reached the extreme like China but I think Putin can see how effective China is with comprehensive indoctrination and would probably like to implement a similar strategy.
