The US lost 50K in Vietnam and the outrage was part of the reason we withdrew. Russia has lost 10 times as many, and there is hardly any outrage in Russia. Is there a fundamental difference in how their society values life?

Reminds me of the TOW wired guided missles

Putin will never give up Crimea, but Ukraine must take it back, so I don't think this ends until Putin is gone one way or another.

Good piece. Looking forward to more

It was Anna who convinced me at the start of the war that Ukraine had the will to fight to get all of their land back. When this war is over, some credit should go to the influencers that reached out to the world.
17
The support given by the US is a tiny fraction of its budget. Ukraine is effectively removing the threat of Russia to the free world. I would say that's a pretty good deal.
14
Almost every nation has some history of bad behavior or bad actors. Its best to acknowledge what happened openly and learn from the past. Bandera was instrumental in promoting Ukrainian identity but also committed what we would call war crimes by today's standards. The US president Andrew Jackson did some good work but he also wiped out a huge number of native Americans. No country is perfect.
13
Interesting. Thank you.
10
It's disappointing how few people outside of Ukraine know about this. Russia has been effective in re-writing history and denial of this genocidal crime.
10
Given the economic difficulties in Argentina, diplomatic support is good enough, especially if it brings other South American countries on board

Guy is living in the past
9
Exactly right. And Ukraine isn't asking for troops. The amount we provide to Ukraine is a tiny fraction of our budget. Support for Ukraine is a moral imperative.
8
Let's hope it happens before the free world loses interest 🤞
5
The mainstream media blew this all out of proportion. Thanks for the explanation.
5
Grain revenue is probably not as important as maintaining good relationships with neighboring countries. The focus should be on gaining control of the Black Sea so that grain shipments to destinations outside of Europe can resume.
5
That was interesting 🤔
5
I trust the Ukrainians to find a balance. They are innovative and determined. There is a Renaissance of creative thinking happening in Ukraine.
5
Even if Ukraine had nukes, they would still need to fight a conventional war. Im not sure it would make much difference.
5
Whatever it takes to push the Russians out.
5
Reminds me of Vietnam and Afghanistan. The US finally gave up and so will Russia.
4
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you
4
Good interview 👍
4
@operator9858 That's what I said 🙄
3
No doubt Russia can be defeated. Small countries have pushed pack against superpowers in the past. If Europe steps up, then Ukraine will win.
3
India is opportunistic, not evil. They are just looking out for themselves. Hopefully, they will understand that at some point, they have to pick a side.
3
@egroegny China is like the Borg (only makes sense if you ever watched Star Trek). They conquer lands of other ethnic groups like the Uyghurs, the Tibetans, and assimilate regions like Hong Kong into their empire. They destroy anything distinctive about cultures the conquer. Resistance is futile. They will be assimilated. They keep extending what they consider to be their territory. They infiltrate foreign nations, take over from within when they can. Their operatives covertly exercise authority throughout the world. They steal intellectual property. The list goes on and on. They are aggressively pursuing control of all of Asia.
3
This could have been handled diplomatically. Trump is just being a jerk about it.
3
No, he is just an out of control loose cannon. Talk to me in 4 years when have to clean up the mess he makes
3
Great experience for a film. The tension must have been enormous, but he got through it against the odds. Brave and smart Ukrainians. Respect 🙏
3
Decentralization of energy production is the key. Same with weapons production and all key industries.
3
Interesting, i like this one. 💯👏👏👏
3
The far right and the far left are unreliable supporters of Ukraine. Those of us in the middle who retain America's love of freedom and democracy will support Ukraine for as long as it takes.
3
Cant be a coincidence that the tyrants of the world tend to be allies. Ukraine is a frontline of a global struggle.
3
Israel wasn't supportive for "practical" reasons. Maybe this experience will show that a moral imperative must prevail over practical considerations.
2
I'm sure this is causing some of the power players in Russia to question Putin's plans. His obsession with Ukraine is having unexpected consequences.
2
Exactly. I love Ukraine and support them completely, but eventually, they will have to reconcile with that problematic past.
2
@yurilytviak9066 Why childish? It's a thoughtful reflection. It's not a perfect comparison, but it makes the point.
2
I'm not sure concessions are a real option. Putin is obsessed with Ukraine, and he will never give up his ambitions for empire. I doubt he would agree to any compromise that leaves Ukraine with defensible borders.
2
Propaganda. They get paid to make Russia look good.
2
Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea are the big ones. The rest are little dictatorships all over the world. Two years ago I would have said "evil" is hyperbole but not anymore
2
Russian influence campaigns target the far left and far right very effectively. Unfortunately those groups have disproportionate power. Ukraine needs to fight back against this.
2
Russia certainly has an incentive to make trouble in the Middle East. It diverts attention and resources away from Ukraine.
1
That's what I thought too. Very different weapon systems.
1
I think it's YouTube itself censoring the comments.
1
It might be a coincidence, but this channel seems to cover exactly what I'm interested in as it happens.
1
I think the ONLY way the war ends is if Putin loses power. He is obsessed with Ukraine.
1
During a war, military corruption is treason. Ukraine can't afford corruption with so much hanging in the balance.
1
Americans are divided in a bitter fight between left and right. Nothing gets done in an election year. Ukraine can only wait for the outcome.
1
Of course Ukraine has to be part of it. Anything else is inconceivable.
1
I suspect if Putin died, the war would end. I think the Russian elite secretly don't want this war. There is no profit in it for them.
1
Can anyone tell me the make and model of his a vehicle?
1
So.. what are we going to do about it? The Trump administration has allowed Putin to advance his agenda, and nobody is stopping him. The only countries pushing back in a meaningful way are those that have a border with Russia
1
@DominikGentener growth forecasts for Russia are based on fake information. Funds have been diverted from infrastructure and public goods. Putin is bleeding his country to build weapons.
1
Putin pushes another false narrative. Sadly, a lot of people who believe conspiracy theories will believe this too
1
Perhaps not regime change, but it will make it harder for Putin to keep producing weapons and paying soldiers
1
It won't be suitable for agriculture until the mines and debris (some of which is toxic) from the war is cleared. They have plenty of time to find a balance between agricultural and environmental priorities as they develop a water management plan.
1
Exactly 💯
1
I don't think anyone will move against Putin until he no longer has a pulse. But when that happens, Russia will pull out of Ukrainian lands, and the war will end.
1
The Nazis also encouraged their women to breed with incentives too.
1
Because information war determines who is in power, it is just as much war as military conflict. I hope the free world wakes up to this truth.
1
The "West" does not have just one point of view. I want Ukraine to win, but my government is indecisive and won't commit. Hopefully that will change.
1
Too subtle
1
Thank you. Very clear explanation.
1
That was really interesting!
1
@GalAxy-u9s you mean the Russians that Putin brought in after he sent the local population that wouldn't fight for him to Siberia? Don't you understand how Putin operates?
1
Russia is good at suffering, and Putin knows it. He is dragging them through the worst pain they've been through since WW2. He will sacrifice the Russian people for his obsession with Ukraine. I hope they wake up and save themselves from catastrophe
1
I hope the world is waking up to the danger of this kind of war. Covert influence campaigns, infiltration, subversion, and takeover from within. China and Russia are the worst offenders. We need to learn how to push back against this kind of threat
1
Ukraine is fighting an existential war for their homeland. That are smart and innovative and increasingly well equipped. Russia just throws soldiers into the meat grinder, soldiers that dont really want to be there. As long as Ukraine maintains the will to fight they will eventually drive the Russians out.
1
@GwynBleys what exactly do you disagree with?
1
The war will end when Putin is no longer in power.
1
We will never know. Putin has plenty of time to destroy the evidence if it contradicts his narrative.
