  2. MRmerm That isn't always true. And isn't what the video is about. For instance, it takes MUCH more energy to produce tomatoes in The Netherlands than in sunny Spain or Morocco. Producing a lot there and importing bulk to the NL is environmentally better. On global level, often 'local' is romanticized. But again, that is not what the video is about!

  3. Ah all these stereotypes about 'vegans' and this alleged 'vegan community' that I then should also be part of. It's even tastier than bacon. Honestly not all vegans are the same. Stop bringing up the existence of 'the aggressive vegan' to legitimize your own dependance on an unnecessary luxoury good like meat. Unnecessary? Yes, vegetarians and vegans prove it. Stop using them to say 'they hurt my feelings!' as the reason to continue while we can actually discuss consequences of eating meat.

Among other proof that is not in this video but that dates back even longer. Don't you feel that it's time to change? And those good qualities you ascribe to Black Pete. You know these ALL have to do with other qualities than his skin? What the hell does it matter then if he's chimney or black? Then the party can go on right? And just to disclaim. I am Dutch. Ik wil je vragen: waarom is de zwarte huid noodzakelijk? Geef me één goede reden. Maar ik wil nu al zeggen: traditie for the sake of traditie is geen goede reden. En de tweede: het is een kinderfeest ook niet. Dat vereist geen zwarte huid en kinderen geven er geen reet om welke kleur hij heeft. Als jij wakker was geworden in een wereld met een Lila Piet had je dat ook zo gekocht.

  10. kakzaa Ik ging er niet vanuit dat je een voorstander van zwarte piet bent, ik wilde alleen deze dingen aankaarten om zelfs een zelfverklaard genuanceerd verhaal te wijzen op denksystemen en argumenten. Ik had geenzins de bedoeling om je vorige posts te ontkennen, enkel te verscherpen.

  13. 162manoj Well no, not all local farmers in the world grow organic. The demand for meat is simply to high not to use high-intensity farming in which animals need to grow up and fat as soon as possible, to be ready for consumption. So growth hormones and antibiotics you'll find much more than you'd assume.
