I think he would've done better if he'd been proactive about it, instead of waiting until his political opposition dragged up the dirt out of their past, to use as political ammunition against him by trying to make him and his wife look like hypocrites. 😣 But at the same time, I can understand why they did not. I don't personally doubt or have any reason to disbelieve the Robinsons' sincerity on this issue.

Robinson was referring to the proverbial "you" in his statements there—not to any couple or person in particular. It is the viewpoint of the Democrat left that they should retain the right to destroy a living, breathing, growing human being throughout all nine months of gestation, for any reason; just because of his (or her) size, location, and level of dependency on an adult.... Newborn infants are dependent on adult(s) to take care of them, too; or they will die.... Are we going to legislate for people to be legally able to kill them , as well? 🤦‍♀ After all, newborn infants are noisy. They cry at inconvenient times (like during the middle of the night); they poop in their pants whenever they have to go (they need constant changing); they cost money to take care of; and they require doctor's visits, etc.... What's stopping people from killing them , too? You're just "personally-opposed-but" when it comes to being pro-life. Lt. Gov. Robinson is at least willing to hold people morally and legally accountable when they commit mxrdxr for the (98+%) sake of convenience.

  38. If Yolanda had been totally opposed to the mxrdxr of her and Mark's unborn child (via abortion)—I'm talking about at that time —there were many things she could have done to prevent it. Any abortion clinic cannot proceed with the abortion, unless the woman agrees to it in writing. She could have gotten legal and practical help from pro-life sidewalk counselors, a pro-life maternity home; a pro-life church--even the police. She could have yelled and screamed at the clinic; gotten down off of the abortionists' table; refused to swallow their poisonous 'medications'... Were she and Mark even married at the time that this happened? I do not recall; but if not, Mark would've had even less legal input into what happened with that unborn child. She could have separated herself from Mark, at least until after the child was safely born. But you're presuming a lot of things in your allegation. Even a minor-aged, pregnant teenager cannot be 'forced' by their parents to abort their children.

Yes, there is loving and helping your neighbor, and being a good Samaritan--all of that. But there's also a good, holy and righteous God Who is getting just about fed up with this degenerate society (collectively and individually) today; and Who will hold all of us responsible for our sins. If we fail to take a stand and warn people about what God has said, and what He requires of all of us (as He has revealed in the Bible), then we will be held responsible for staying inside the four walls of our churches (as the world wants us to). This is just one of the things Mark Robinson has (rightfully) taken a stance against; and why Christians of conscience will still support his candidacy for NC governor.

While I have not personally heard Lt. Gov. Robinson denying the Holocaust (or other systematic historical persecutions of Jews), considering how Josh Stein and his campaign have taken Robinson's comments on abortion out-of-context in these unfortunate attack ads, their credibility is sadly lacking; and I would approach such accusations with a healthy dose of skepticism unless (and until) they have been properly vetted and proven.

  44.  @sallybird4  Perhaps because back in those days (of their early adulthood), they were not given proper spiritual instruction from their church(es) or schools about the intrinsic evils of disposing of unwanted preborn children. I am sure that Lt. Gov. Robinson and his wife would agree that one negative aspect of many black churches in North Carolina, both historically and contemporary is their unbalanced, sometimes almost total focus on eradicating (both real or perceived) social injustice, as compared to one's personal relationship with God and their personal responsibility towards one's fellow man. It is this doctrine that one must be (legally) 'free'—perhaps even tempted or encouraged—to choose the wrong, instead of having our legal, educational, medical and other public institutions reflect and encourage what God says is right, that is partly responsible for the high abortion and other crime rates that we all see in society today.

  50.  @qitqat7425  What's really strange about those Josh Stein "daycare" attack ads against Robinson and his wife, is that an "uncovered outlet" is merely one that lacks a small portable plastic "plug" (with prongs on one side) that fits into the openings of an electrical outlet. Its purpose is to cover the holes of an unused (properly installed) outlet, so as to keep a young child from poking (say) a pencil, crayon, or their fingers into it and getting shocked. ⚡🔌 .... But Stein's commercial shows an outlet that is COMPLETELY missing its cover, with interior wires hanging out several inches from the wall! 🤯(which would pose a serious danger for children AND adults alike!) .... Way to exaggerate, mislead, and slander, Democrats!! 🙄
