Do they realize that, legally, if their parents decided they did not "want" them before they were born, that they could have ended up like the babies in those photos?

Technically that's infanticide; i.e., where a baby is delivered alive after a botched abortion procedure; but due to fetal handicaps (Down's Syndrome, cerebral palsy, etc.), prematurity, or for whatever reasons of the parent(s) choosing, the child is unwanted and so is denied any normal care or attention post-birth (they are left to die of exposure or starvation). It does happen; and is no laughing matter—just another sad consequence of the devaluation of life in our "modern" society.

I'm sure the lines get blurred at times; especially when the publishers (who own the major media outlets) make individual campaign contributions off the money they've earned spreading their propaganda. Actually this goes on with the fake/alt-right, and not just the left cough*Rupert Murdock*cough .
