"Virginia is no longer considered my home state I just exist here...."
Back when I was a teenager, my Dad took my two young nephews—his grandsons (visiting NC from Virginia) to our local ice cream shop. At the time, the boys were divided on whether they liked Virginia or North Carolina better.
So my Dad asked them if they wanted a 'Virginia' ice cream cone, or a 'North Carolina' ice cream cone. The older boy ordered the North Carolina ice cream; while his younger brother insisted on having the Virginia cone. When they came back with their order, the older boy had two scoops of ice cream on his cone; while the younger one had only a single scoop! 😲🍦😁
What they didn't know was that my Dad had quietly taken the shop proprietor aside ahead of time, and advised him to make the "Virginia" ice cream cone smaller, lol. 😄
(If you're out there reading this, David, then hello from Aunt J.! Waves )
But seriously, we all like to be proud of where we live; and it hurts when we see our local (or state) governments making poor decisions which will negatively impact the quality of life for everyone (whether they realize it or not). Have you thought about "voting with your feet," as the saying goes?
If that's not an option, my heart goes out to you. ❤🩹 We were crushed when radical Democrat Roy Cooper first "won" the NC gubernatorial election here--and that by only one quarter of one percent of the vote; then four years later got re-elected over conservative Republican Dan Forrest. Thankfully now he's on his way out; but it's been a long, hard road.
That's one reason we rejoiced with Virginians when Gov. Youngkin first got elected! (and over a very important issue—school choice) 🥰🏫🎒🏡 The important thing is to not give up--keep sharing our views and our values with those within our sphere of influence; and most important of all, keep voting ! We must set an example; and we must not lose hope. 💖 Remember, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Rom. 8:31).

@Account-tl5zr "28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:28-31).
See that? The first commandment is first for a Reason . It is not governed or controlled by the second commandment; which is subservient to it. You cannot have the second commandment without the First, otherwise it leads to nonsense tautologies, such as "Love is love" and other such things which go against the Word and very character of God Himself.

@brp5497 When law enforcement officers are trained to recognize counterfeit money, they do not study all the different ways counterfeiters replicate bills. Instead, they learn what the genuine article looks like, so thoroughly, so that when they do encounter the fake ones, they know instinctively that "something is wrong with this..."
And so it is likewise with spiritual truth. 🙂
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." (John 1:1-4, NKJV).

@Cdub1717 "you live in an echo chamber"
That's what an old friend once insisted. If I'd had the opportunity, I'd have explained to him—complete with extensive evidence and documentation—that it was rather he who was in the "echo chamber"-- it was just so large and imposing that he didn't realize that his thoughts and beliefs were the ones being manipulated, controlled and 'contained' by the world's system.
But you see, he lived in Trini—the influence that the globalist, Marxist 'machine' exercises is worldwide, you know—and unfortunately he doesn't live anywhere now; since he died of a heart attack sometime after our political discussion (disagreement) took place. 😢😞
Evidently he felt so pressured by his employer, his government (or whatever) that he had tried to change the mind of a resident voter of another country less than two months before the U.S. election. It wouldn't have worked, because as a progressive religionist (sadly that's what his once vibrant faith had deteriorated to), his worldview was derived from a faulty foundation that was significantly different from mine. But I would give virtually anything to have the opportunity for just one. more. lonnnng, leisurely online conversation with him... RIP, Dave. 🪦💐

"your inability to deal with your decision compels you to obstruct others rights to, "kill a child[...]" [emphasis added].
That's precisely our point: It Shouldn't remain legal ("others rights") to kill a child in the state of North Carolina. Or anywhere, for that matter (but it's North Carolina's laws which are specifically under consideration here).
I'm sure that Lt. Gov. Robinson was referring to the proverbial "you" in his statements there—not to any couple or person in particular. It is the viewpoint of the Democrat left that they should retain the right to destroy a living, breathing, growing human being throughout all nine months of gestation, for any reason; just because of his (or her) size, location, and level of dependency on an adult.... Newborn infants are dependent on adult(s) to take care of them, too; or they will die.... Are we going to legislate for people to be legally able to kill them , as well? 🤦♀
After all, newborn infants are noisy. They cry at inconvenient times (like during the middle of the night); they poop in their pants whenever they have to go (they need constant changing); they cost money to take care of; and they require doctor's visits, etc.... What's stopping people from killing them , too?
You're just "personally-opposed-but" when it comes to being pro-life. Lt. Gov. Robinson is at least willing to hold people morally and legally accountable when they commit mxrdxr for the (98+%) sake of convenience.

"No child should have to deal with trauma, abuse or neglect, but when women with that life trauma become pregnant, that is what happens."
Perhaps if both men AND women made the decision to forego having sex until they are in a legal marriage relationship?💡 Now, THERE's a novel idea! That would do so much to help prevent financial-related problems (not having enough money to raise the kid/costs of hired-out child care; "latchkey" kids raising themselves and doing without parental guidance and teaching, etc. due to single parenting).... all leading to the continuous cycle of serious, increasing moral degeneration and decay.
You'll probably insist that it's impossible and no one would agree to live that way. But that's the pattern that God has set. He is the One who created everything including all of mankind; and best knows how life should work. Instead, "the system" (public schools, Hollywood music and entertainment industry, Planned Parenthood, etc.) teaches kids from younger and younger ages that sex is "recreational" (only); and they can live/do it however they want--up to and including choosing their own gender and taking drugs/having unnecessary surgeries to correct psychological (actually spiritual) problems of self-identity.... This has been going on at least since the nineteen sixties; and people wonder why all these societal woes are out-of-control. It's because society has chosen to ignore the Manufacturer's Manual. 💔📖 ✝🙏💖

That's what a young black woman pastor told my husband and me, many years ago, in so many words (but without the "d" expletive you used). It took us a long time to figure out why she was so triggered. I guess b/c their church was in an economically-depressed neighborhood (not our usual congregation--we were just guests there while visiting out-of-state relatives)—she felt we didn't "belong" and was subtly letting us know it. 😕
It's sad that she blamed others for the run-down state of her own community, though. Perhaps if the churches there would quit making excuses for their local residents (including some church members) drug-dealing, destroying property, stealing, mugging, gang activity, dropping out of school, worshiping gangsta rap "artists," fornicating, disrespecting their elders, burning and looting local businesses, murdering, etc., they would be happier, self-respecting, more self-sustaining and a credit to their communities.

@KentuckyRanger "Yes, I could be a total narcissist, and have the delusion of being a concerned parent, when in fact, I put my daughter through hell..."
Can I give you just a small tidbit of advice? :) Be careful of this concept of, "narcissist"; or "narcissism"... Yes, there are people with problems. But people who like to label everything (or everyone) "narcissist" often do so at the drop of a hat, whenever they feel the least bit offended over this or that issue. it is an idea that was borne out from worldly, secular mainstream psychology, not the Word of God. God does not encourage people to "write off," "ghost" or otherwise disrespect and ignore their parents and families. God calls the young to "honor thy mother and father"; and that teaching is also echoed in the New Testament.

It's funny, though, how after spending good money for these guys to prepare your taxes, they ask, "Is that everything?" (i.e., receipts, info., etc.). If they expect you to be an expert on the tax codes, enough to know every expenditure, life event, and/or obscure minimal income source that might possibly have an effect (positive or negative) on your tax liability, then what are we paying them for?? 🤷♀ They're just a bunch of pencil-pushers.

@danielhutchinson6604 Sorry, but " both (p)olitical parties" do Not condone and promote baby murder.
I realize that you (and those who think like you) will probably insist that has nothing to do with LBJ; or the military/economic issues being emphasized here. Remember, however, what SCOTUS decision came down the very same Day that LBJ died! ... Coincidence? He Did support it, like a good little Democrat, didn't he? 👨⚖⚖🧐
But if you—like the current WH occupant—happen to think there is nothing wrong with subsidizing PP (Plan Ned Pair Rent hood) with Americans' tax dollars; and that it is tantamount to providing "care" for a certain, politically-advantaged group (who mostly all vote straight Democrat, election cycle after election cycle) over another group who has No voice and No political power, then you , Sir, are part of the problem.

@prefersoxygen9373 If you had even a passing, sincere understanding of God's Word (the Bible), you wouldn't write such nonsense things. God's words are not "religion"--they are Truth. Eternal and unchanging. Read it. God makes it clear that He tolerates NO rival gods of other belief systems.
Those (like Josh Stein), who advocate the protected, legal mxrdxr of innocent unborn human beings through abortion, because the timing of their conception (statistically 98+% of all abortions) is inconvenient to other people, have a lot to answer for to God--both now, and in the hereafter.
Instead of cheering on (and voting for) the destruction of these precious, innocent young ones, we should all be praying that the hearts of people like Josh Stein would be changed, so that he would Protect the lives of both the unborn and their mothers, instead of letting them be informationally-deprived and emotionally manipulated into killing their own children. 💔📖✝🙏💖

@brekedekdang Ok, you admit Trump has some good ideas, generally-speaking... Why not just vote for him on that basis, then? Isn't that the most important thing when choosing a candidate for office?
About the election being rigged... Have you watched the documentary 2000 Mules ?
Wouldn't the average person find it even just a little bit skeptical that the mainstream media was claiming that the election issues were all "without evidence"— just two days after the election was held? Clearly their minds were already made up, as to which candidate(s) should/were going to win.
There were ballot marking and chain-of-custody issues in many states. Republican poll watchers in Fulton County, Georgia were sent home mid-evening (supposedly due to some leaking plumbing in the building, which later turned out to be minor); after which election officials brought out two large containers of ballots from under the tables and kept tallying. This was after they had announced that the counting would stop and be resumed the following morning... This was caught on video surveillance.
Where did those ballots come from? How were they being tallied? Apparently no one (on the Democrat side at least) seems to have any answers.
And the smartphone selfie video of election worker Ruby Freeman, along with her revealing commentary was censored (and dismissed) quite quickly on most mainstream social media platforms, including this one. She and her mother quickly lawyered up and the investigation was abandoned.
This is what gets me about all the mail-in and drop-off balloting... Since everyone knew there was a pandemic; and some people were going to be hesitant to vote in person, then why didn't they stick to the Election Day deadline? Everybody knew when it was scheduled. They could've easily voted a few days early, just to make sure their ballots arrived in time. I know I sure would've.
But no, not only did they extend the deadline, but then they added same-day voter registration at the polls. No time or opportunity to verify anything. Our military members overseas (and stateside absentee ballot voters) were never given such courtesies in past elections; neither did they expect them.

@Broadwaybuff-pi1qg When they're engaging in drug smuggling, child prostitution rings, and Islamic jihadist subversion tactics against our government system and way of life, yes, they are.
At any rate, why aren't Democrats leading efforts to help make the immigrants' own native countries better places to live--to deal with the social, economic, dystopian problems there ? Allowing millions upon millions of them to migrate to America illegally; and then depend on an already overburdened taxpayer base to provide them all with free housing, free medical care, free education and all the other "freebies," when our country is already 37+ TRILLION dollars in debt makes no sense; and will utterly destroy this country. 😓
